eleven minutes
I finished reading "eleven minutes" from paulo Coelho yesterday. I started reading this book back in January, I guess, as a part of learning braille on my new braille display - done mostly on weekends that were not otherwise occupied (something that is really rare).
Learning braille and then reading a book in braille is a fairly tedious task and I wanted to pick up something interesting to read so that the tedium will not disuade me from putting in the effort.
The book was interesting enough alright but my theory about not being disuaded went wrong from the other side. The book was so interesting that reading it word by word in braille was too slow for the curious obsessive compulsive reader who usually readds a book cover to cover in as few sittings as possible....
Although after finishing the book I feel I liked the other books from Paulo better e.g. "By the river Piedra I sat and wept" was definitely better than this.
My next thought is that I'll pick up short interesting stories to read with the braille display so that the theory holds....
